Plastic Bags, Do’s & Don’ts

Here’s the poop on what the new plastic bag ban covers…
We have learned from Assemblyman Linda Rosenthal’s office what the new plastic bag ban does and doesn’t cover. The law passed last week in Albany imposes an outright ban on “single use” plastic bags like the ones given out by grocery stores.
Not banned:
Poop bags on rolls for picking up animal waste
Bags from liquor stores, since these items must be covered up
Trash can liners

Did de Blasio Overpay Slumlord Contributors by $123 Million?

Why Is this story important?
Because the same family controls three properties on West 95th and 94th Streets
History: The same family whose contributions helped elect de Blasio are now supporting his bid for president. But are taxpayers footing the campaign bill?
